Who are "we"?
WeAreUH is a grass-roots group of neighbors in University Heights including property owners, renters, landlords, and business owners. Some of us have lived in UH a very long time and some just a short time. WE have a common value and love of University Heights and we are deeply concerned about the kinds of land use changes being imposed on our community without our knowledge or input.
We are PRO-HOUSING and want to see smart, targeted growth of additional dwelling units where they make sense, scaled multifamily projects that fit their surroundings, and high density along the major transit corridors. At the same time, we respect and want to preserve and retain as much of the historical charm that lured (and keeps) many of us in this beautiful community.
The goal of this website is to keep the community posted on city and state policies that affect land use in UH and provide some alternative solutions to the City’s “build anything, anywhere” policy.
